First, not understanding why so many compare this to a Bose (the Wave is 5x the price). If you are looking for that sound, it comes with a price. If however, you are looking for a clean-designed speaker system for a bedroom or small room with Bluetooth, this fits the ticket.
Granted this does not have the bass that I would wish for; but at the same time, looking at other Bluetooth units they are either ugly, lack any decent docking; have extremely tingy or muddled sound... and none have any decent bass. If bass is important than you'll really have to shell out around $250 or more. This is only a 10 Watt system, so the other complaints seem to be desiring something that 10 Watts simply can't deliver. I would have to say this thing puts out great sound considering its low price and wattage. This is the best sounding and designed Bluetooth speaker system at this price range.

PROs:
-Beautiful design
-Sound is very clear and distinctive
-fits well on bookshelf
-special rubber feet absorb vibrations from the speaker box so it doesn't rattle items off the bookshelf
-Bluetooth works like a charm, through walls, and even outside the home from at least 50 feet
-cradle system that makes sense (support)
-comes with a special cloth to clean it
-remote works and skips/pauses/stops songs through phone/iPod
-Bluetooth and docking give same sound quality

CONs
-Bass missing
-Bass boost really doesn't do much (the only reason I gave this a four star rating instead of a five)
-App for phone unnecessary (I would skip it as the phones play fine without it); actually I can't figure out what the app does for you that you couldn't do with the phone's software.

**NOTE** To get the most bass out of the unit, make sure it is on a hard surface, with its back close to another hard surface (have the "vent" tubes pointd towards a hard surface as these can help transmit the lower register). Also angle the speaker box so that the sound deflects off of the wall at angles, it will make the speaker system sound louder.

For the price this is a great speaker. Bought it to pair with my iPhone via bluetooth. The sound quality is good, and it even has decent bass. My only complaint is that the remote hardly works. The battery is installed correctly but will not turn the speaker off. I can only power off by holding down the play button on the unit. It does work for the volume, however. Overall, I'm happy with it.

I purchased this at Best Buy in September of 2013 as a gift for a relative on behalf of another relative. Best Buy sold/marketed this as, "Samsung - Wireless Audio with Dock for Apple® iPod® and iPhone®" with SKU: 5563122. It sold for $129.99.

I was given a budget to work so I ended up going with this 10-Watt model but would have preferred to have been able to bump up to the 40-Watt model in this Samsung family - the Samsung Wireless Audio with Dock System (DA-E670/ZA) as currently available at this Amazon listing - Samsung DA-E670 2.1 Channel 40-Watt Dual Audio Dock.

That having been said, this is a very capable speaker and produces rich, clear room-filling sound. You can connect wirelessly using Bluetooth 3.0 +HS which supports High Speed data transfer up to 24mbps. Adding aptX audio coding provides "lossless" sound quality as if you were "directly wired" to the system and in my experience this is true so long as your Bluetooth device stays within range. When I moved my Bluetooth phone into the next room I noticed the sound quality degraded and became choppy. Of course, this is true of any Bluetooth speaker.

Every Bluetooth device in the home connected to this speaker without any issue. On Windows 7 laptops I noticed that in the Control Panel under Devices this shows up as a Bluetooth headset and not a speaker. A JBL PowerUp similar Bluetooth speaker is reflected in the same computer Device list as a speaker. These designations are not ones that can be altered/re-named. This doesn't affect performance, I just found it interesting that Samsung gave it this device designation.

To use your Samsung Galaxy series device with the Dual Dock, you must download and install the Docking Mode application from the Android Market on the device. The docking mode compatible iPod/iPhone models are shown in the product details. Samsung does recommend you update the software of your iPod/iPhone to the latest version before using it with this unit. An added benefit is that devices also charge while docked in this speaker.

The models in this Samsung family that most interested me were those that combine a Vacuum Tube and Digital Tuner. These are the first Bluetooth speakers I have seen with the innovation of analog/digital technologies combined and it seems like this would create a truer, more immersive sound than digital alone. Unfortunately, these were also out of range for the budget I was given but you might check some of the listings on Amazon to see how they're priced at the time you're in the market.

Vacuum-Tube and Digital Amp Wireless Audio System with Dual Dock (DA-E751/ZA)
Samsung DA-E751 2.1 Channel 100-Watt Dual Audio Dock
Vacuum-Tube and Digital Amp Wireless Audio System with Dual Dock (DA-E750/ZA)
Samsung DA-E750 2.1 Channel 100-Watt Dual Audio Dock

This is a very capable Bluetooth speaker and should have enough power to satisfy most. Connecting with Bluetooth devices is easy and results in excellent streaming quality. The docking feature is nice if you have a device that is compatible and set this speaker up in a location that makes the dock easily accessible. Both relatives, gift giver and gift recipient, were very pleased and it is getting a lot of use.

The manual isn't very helpful when you first operate the speaker. First of all, the controls on the top of the unit are not logical. When it has a steady red light, the unit is off, not on, like I would expect. The only way I was able to connect with my samsung gSII was to dock it and then it would find a connection. After docking, I am able to take the phone off of the dock and it stays connected through blue tooth. There isn't a wide range using blue tooth, only about 15-20 ft before the signal loses integrity. These are not real problems for me. When I am listening to the speaker I leave it docked and and it's nice that it charges the phone while it plays. The sound is very impressive. There isn't a lot of volume but for a small room it is great. I paid $80 and I don't think I could get the same sound from anything else for near the same price.

I got this because the higher end units in this line are Airplay compatible. This is NOT airplay compatible. You cannot set it up on a wireless network at all. It works only with bluetooth in a small radius.

For something with only 10watts it sounds great and looks great!! Very high clarity and sound quality at low levels which is a sign of a high end devise. I use it in my office at work so volume levels are never up too high but it sounds great and fills my office well creating extra mood and privacy.
like it a lot great for bedroom or office something that doesn’t demand too much although it sound pretty good cranked all the way up also just doesn’t have a lot of bass.

Excellent product but a little on the large size. Not hi-fi but does a good job with voice and music. Smart phone holder could be better designed to hold phone more securely.

I had it synced to my iPad and playing music in seconds. I put this in my bathroom so I can leave my ipad in the other room to avoid humidity damage. For the same price I also have the Bose Companion II speakers and they do not sound as good as this Samsung. I'm now considering the $599 version with the vacuum tubes to put in another room since this one turned out so nice.
