I've had these for three weeks and we've had more than 30 inches of snow since then and temps down to about -5 F. These are the first boots I've had in a while. I've been wearing insulated shoes the past few years, but was looking for something that would keep me warmer and drier but still look nice with slacks and button-down shirts. These are everything I had hoped.

I generally spend 1 1/2 hours outside everyday and the rest of the day in buildings that are at about 67 F. They fit true to size but I still wear a pair of thick socks underneath. They aren't quite as comfortable as the insulated shoes that I used to wear but much warmer and have better traction on ice. It took about two weeks to get them broken in.

Was looking for warm, dry boots that didn't take 5 minutes to put on or take off. Have owned other Merrell shoes and knew that some models are awesome, others have manufacturing issues.

Ordered a 1/2 size bigger per other reviews and the fit, as usual with Merrells was perfect. With heavy socks, they are a bit snug but not too much. Switch to regular socks and their not sloppy.

These boots are made very well, and keep your feet warm given you wear cold weather sock.
They also keep your feet dry, assuming your not wading in deep puddles.
the tread on these is "aggressive", which is good for traction, the down side is they hold a lot of slush and mud so keep that in mind when you come inside. i knew boots would do that, so i wanted easy on and off and these do the trick.

The leather is a little stiff, but has worn in very well in the last 2 weeks (5 days a week, 10 -12 hours a day of wear)

If you like the no frills look and need some all purpose shoes for winter, buy these. you will be happy.

These are truly great boots. They are waterproof, comfy (with the addition of some good insoles) and easy to get on and off. The traction on ice is good too. I've walked over 4 miles in one day in these boots and had no problems. What I did not like is that one day when I first got these I wore them with some socks that were lower than the top of the boot. The elastic on the outside side of the boot is very rigid and it wore an open wound on the side of my leg. Lesson learned and I have a scar to remind me to wear tall socks. Overall though I am satisfied and would give it 5 stars if not for the initial pain and misery!

Purchased these for my husband who has been shoveling snow in his nikes. After wearing these - I don't think he will go back to anything else.

If you have a high instep they are a bear to get on and off. Once on the are ok and light weight. maybe the next size or wideth up would help other wise if in doubt don't order.

I've been trying to find suitable replacement boots for pair of after skiing boots I've been wearing for more than 30 years. Just the fact that my old leather boots have lasted that long is a testiment to their quality. So the Merrell boot is the replacement. It's a good quality boot and I researched many boots before buying them. I just received them last week so we'll see. I did note they fit rather snug despite my ordering them a half size big.

I wore these in the snow for 1 weekend and by the end of the weekend they had already started leaking. I am done with Merrell. This is the second pair of boots I've had from them that do not live up to expectations. I guess you get what you pay for. If you want cheap boots that do not work as you expect them to - these are definitely for you. Otherwise I would spend an extra $50-100 and get a different brand that has a reputation for quality.

These boots didn't last a year hole in rubber where the shoe creases from walking feet wet but very comfortable you can walk all day in these as you can see in pics still plenty of tread on the outsole didn't have them a good 3 months before they got a hole in them I wear them on nice days and when painting now will buy more merrell boots can't beat the comfort

I had been looking for lightweight, easy-on/off, waterproof and insulated boots for casual running about in upstate New York. I have had these boots now for a week and they fit the bill perfectly so far. The insulation seems effective down to single digit temps and 6 inches of snow. The only feature I have not really put to the test is extremely wet environments, so we'll see.

Yes, they are tight to get on but what that means is that they don't flop around like clown shoes once I have them on. So I like that. I was a little concerned at first because they are snug over the instep when I first put them on (hence the difficulty getting my foot in) but I find that they loosen up quickly and I expect them to break in nicely. I have even been able to wear heavy socks with them.

So I bought size 10.5, which is what I wear in tennis shoes and now these feel just as comfortable. I didn't buy them for hiking, but I feel like I can go all day in these with no trouble. Loving them so far.
