Please learn from my disappointment...
on November 8, 2013
This is a time when I REALLY wish I would have spent another $30 and bought a sneaker of reliable quality through one of the many online sellers that provide free shipping and returns on shoes. It is a deception to take a picture of one (nicer looking) shoe and then send out a different shoe when someone orders. The shoe that arrived in the mail is clearly not the one pictured. The actual finish is different, smoother, less like the suede-look pictured. The stitching looks cheaper. The tongue of the shoe is stuffed with something giving it a pillowed-looking effect that is not at all like the tongue of the shoe pictured. The lining of the shoe toward the tongue area is not the same color as pictured...just a few little details that confirm it is a different shoe. I wanted to return it, but the seller requires that I also pay return shipping. Nice. So, $8.99 to send it out to me and probably $14.99 (what it cost me to ship a shoe UPS standard a couple of months ago because I am a consumer and don't get any shipping bargains thru UPS) for a $20 shoe that wouldn't have gotten a second glance from me in a store. I think I will just donate it to charity. Maybe someone who gets it for free will consider it a good bargain.
