I've had these shoes for about a month now and I am very satisfied with them so far. I'm find them extremely comfortable and easy to slip on. They were a bit snug as another reviewer mentioned, but after a few day the are broke in fitting very well. I think they look really good and the leather seems to be of high quality, they don't get scuffed very easily. Depending on the life of the shoe, they are well worth the price...but time will tell. BTW, I walk to work everyday in the shoes, approx about 1 mile and I'm a big guy (250 lbs). My old shoes would hurt my feet, but these are very comfortable!

Received my Shoes last week and so far I'm very satisfied. The shoes are a bit snug but I'm sure they will loosen a bit as they break in. I have several pairs of Merrell shoes that started out snug and I can now slip in and out of them with ease, so I expect that to be the case for these. The quality and comfort are great, I wear them on a daily basis so break in time should be fairly quick. I purchased a size 12 in Chocolate. The Chocolate is very dark, almost black. Cost was a little high but you get what you pay for!

I've owned many pairs of Merrells, including the predecessor of these shoes, the World Legends. I don't find these to be as comfortable as the World Legends, which didn't require breaking-in for the heel to be comfortable. The Realms are just fine after breaking them in for a week, though. Overall, I'd consider this a step back from the previous design.

Their appearance is top-notch. They're great for my business casual attire at the office, and they look great with jeans, as well.

Besides the break-in period, though, there's just one complaint I have: The insoles are terrible. Their support is good, but their two-piece design is very annoying. Instead of a smooth surface, the heel is sewn on as a patch, and the seam is very noticeable sticking into the back portion of my arches. I really have no idea why Merrell would think this would be comfortable. I'll upload two pictures to clarify what I mean. Anyway, I can't fathom why someone thought these insoles were a good idea, and I don't enjoy spending $120 on a pair of shoes just to need to go make a trip to the store and spend another $10 on normal insoles.

Love Merrell products and these shoes did not disappoint. Fit and comfort great, nice padded insoles, dress look (I can wear with a suit) but easy to wear with jeans. And slip off for TSA!

I'm a fan of Merrell shoes. This is my third pair (all different styles) and I particularly love their large toe beds. Normally I order wide widths from most shoe makers, but with Merrell I'm very comfortable with their standard sizes. These shoes are very light and comfortable out of the box, but become even better with extended wear. Note, like most shoes in this style, the leather rim on the heel is tough on the back of your heel for the first few days of wear. Maybe it's just my feet, but whenever I buy new shoes like this, I get blisters on my heel (where your achilles attaches) for the first week until the shoes are broken in.

What I like most about these is how light they are, and how well they can go from completely casual to slightly dressy attire. They look just as good with a pair of old jeans as they do with a pair of chinos or cargo pants. Really comfortable (once broken in) and ruggedly made. Merrell has become my favorite shoe company this year. Highly recommended.

After reading a number of reviews, specifically with regard to sizing, I decided to go with my normal size in a wide. The width was perfect, but I experienced some looseness and slipping at the ankle. Not wanting to return this for a shoe that would more than likely be too small, I decided to break the shoes in for a week and then make my decision. I'm glad I did. The shoes are a great fit now, and I'm very happy. They feel very comfortable and yet very sturdy. I think these shoes are going to last a long time.

One thing I will say in contradiction to many reviews is that these are not dress shoes. I would never wear these with a nice pair of dress slacks, let alone a suit like some reviewers mentioned.

I was going to write a complaint about the abrupt and not gradual color shift of dark brown to light on my new shoes. However Amazon just lowered the price of them by almost $40 so I can't complain anymore. Maybe not all the shoes in this color have this issue, but it would justify the new lower price for just cinnamon. These Merrells are very nice, built really solid. The leather and the stitching is all high quality. The insole is one of the most comfortable insoles I've ever worn. If you don't care about the possibility of a coloring defect with cinnamon get it and save a good chunk of money.

As other reviews have said this pair of shoes in Chocolate is very dark, and a nice compromise if you don't want to go with the black.

On the downside, the fit was a little tight overall, still acceptable but definitely not the same size "13" for me as the other 3 pairs of Merrel's I own.

I wear a size 12 and am a big Merrell fan. The thing I noticed about Merrell shoes when it comes to sizing is sometimes I need to go a 1/2 size down. This was the case on this particular shoe as the 12 was a bit too big but the 11.5 fit just right. These shoes are extremely comfortable and much lighter than I thought they would be. I've only had them for about a week so I don't know for sure on the durability, the stitching and quality of the materials tells me I think these shoes will hold up just fine for quite some time. Over the years, I've tried many shoes and after my first pair of Chameleons about 8 years ago, most of my shoes now are made by Merrell.

Love these shoes, excellent casual shoes. I normally wear size 12 in almost all shoes ive purchased, however, i had to go down to size 11 in these. Even going down a full size, id say for a slip-on leather shoe it fits comfortably not tight. Id recommend purchasing these a half size smaller to a full size than what you normally wear.
