My original insoles were incredibly broken down in my timberland boots. When I looked into these online, I was expecting something like the ones that came with the boots. I purchased these at a local store in town because I wanted to physically see them before purchasing. A few things you should know...

1. They are not what came with your boots.
2. They are thinner (might depend on the type of timberland boot you own).
3. They will need to be cut to fit.

When cutting them to fit, I used my old insoles as a template. There is a number imprinted on your old timberland insoles that may help you identify the proper size you will need if you are having trouble deciding which size to buy. These insoles are better than walking around on worn out insoles, but for thirty dollars, I expected more from the timberland brand. Still love my boots though.

They are hands down THE BEST INSOLES I HAVE EVER USED AND HAD!! I work offshore on oil & gas platforms, and I'm on my feet all day! Ever since I started using these insoles, my feet don't hurt after work, and I can wear my boots all day IN COMFORT!!! After I trimmed them to fit my boots, it's like I'm wearing sneakers!! They are awesome insoles!! Don't think, just buy!! You won't be disappointed!!

I'm 60 years old and 230 lbs. These inserts provide the best cushion I have ever had in a shoe. The heel is especially cushioned. I added these to 3 pairs of shoes months ago. They are easy to setup. Simply pull out the insert that came with your shoe and use it as a template to trim this insert. A good pair of sharp scissors is all you need to trim them. If you like the look of your sneakers but hate the fact there is no cushion left in them, then buy these. It's cheaper than buying new shoes. It's like adding shock absorbers to your sneakers. If you are the type to leave your sneakers in a hot car all day before going to the gym then you know how the heat destroys the cushions. These inserts provide relief.
DISCLAIMER: If you are young, lightweight and run a lot of miles you might find these inserts to be too heavy and squishy for nimble running. I think they are designed for middle to heavy wt. people who walk or hike but not necessarily run.

Not an exact replacement, but they are the same material & as comfortable as the original insoles. These run pretty big. I wear a 9.5 Men Medium width boot & I had to cut down the length & width on the toe area. They would probably be an exact fit for a 10-101/2. Still the most comfortable insole I've ever purchased and due to my flat feet, I have bought A LOT of insoles trying to find something comfortable. I am on my feet in safety toe boots & shoes at least 8 hours a day. They are so comfortable I usually leave my work shoes on when I get home, too. This is my 2nd set & I am planning on replacing the insoles in all my work shoes, boots, & hikers with these.

These are for my BF who desperately needs above average foot support as he works on solid concrete all night...48+ hours a week. He's had them a week now and says so far these are the best insoles he's ever had. He didn't like that he had to cut them as they are bigger than size 11 and there are no lines to indicate his size, but he got them fitting perfectly anyway.

After years of buying average insoles for my husband, I found these after narrowing my search down to something made for work boots. He likes them much better than the Dr. Scholl's and other name-brand insoles he has used in the past.

Waited a while to post a review after wearing my boots with these insoles.

Money well spent!
I have some hiker boots that had insoles about as comfy as sticking a magazine in them. Being familiar with the Pro Design boots, but not wanting to replace my hikers yet I opted for the next best thing.
My job involves standing in the same place for hours at a time. The insoles make putting on my boots in the morning a pleasure and at the end of the day my 51 year old high mileage feet, thighs and knees feel great.

For about the same cost as Red Wing insoles you get much better cushioning without them being grippy like when yer 'gel-in' and odor is not an issue.
I'll buy these again when the time comes.

Edit June 13th 2015:
After daily use involving a lot of standing in the same spot for hours at a time, these things are still getting it done. All other after market insoles I've tried up to now have always failed by now. Money well spent.

This order is my second pair. First pair lasted over a year before the balls of my feet wore through the fabric liner layer of them.

The Timberland shoes (cant remember the model) came with them, but under advisement I got the first pair because they were supposed to be that much better than the ones that came with the shoes. And they were!

The first pair, to be honest, probably had me thinking about a new pair about 10 months in. They just didn't seem to be giving as much cushion as they did when I got them. But I held out and the new pair felt like the first pair did when I first got them, so I can only imagine how the original ones would have felt if I wore them for the first year.

Overall... I think they give as much support as some of those more common gel inserts, but with less weight. I like them and will probably get another pair next year assuming the shoes themselves last that long.

My husband has wide feet, wears Pitboss boots size 9.5 EE, and frequently complains that the insoles wear out before the rest of the boot and cause foot pain. I've bought several gel-type insoles, including those designed for work, but they move around inside the boot, dont fit properly, are too squishy, or cause more pain.
These, combined with quality socks, fit properly and let his boots last a little longer. He immediately remarked that they were better then the dozens of other typically store bought insoles we have tried.

If your on your feet all day these provide the support you need. The DOWNSIDE..... plan on Throwing them away and buying a new pair instead of washing them they do not launder well by hand or machine.
