I purchased this ICON HD headset to replace one I lost last week. I stream audio books, podcasts and take phone calls over the headset so I've become very dependent on it throughout the day. I usually have a second one charging while one is in use. The ICON is fairly compact and weighs hardly anything so it's comfortable all day long. I was a little wary buying an item that's described as "bulk packaging" based on negative reviews of other Jawbone headsets provided by other vendors I'd seen on Amazon, but at less than half the price of a new one including shipping for prime members, I thought I would take a chance.
Well I'm happy to report, so far so good. It seems to operate exactly as my original unit purchased directly from Jawbone. The bulk packaging is a little different if your used to retail packaging, but it seems that most of the items that are supposed to be in the retail package are included, the only items missing seem to be a few extra in-the-ear adapter sizes. Luckily, the one it came with is the right size for my ear. The only other item I noticed is that the full charge seems to max out at 3hrs. vs. the 4hrs of the unit I lost. I need to test this more and will report results in a future post.
Update: September 25, 2013: Apparently the full charge issue seems to have resolved itself. The last two times I ran the battery down and recharged the unit, it came back to the full 4hr. charge level. To reiterate, the headset has been working fine for me at this time. Good luck!
