I was looking for a inexpensive Bluetooth headset with an optional wire and a built in mic and when I saw this headset, I bought it immediately. While both the wireless stereo stream and wire connection produce excellent sound, the Bluetooth communication profile that is used with the mic leaves much to be desired. As someone who talks to others with headsets everyday, the moment I used the Bluetooth mic, both parties of the call can immediately notice the poor sound quality. As a friend has stated, it sounds like I have become a "robot". The bandwidth is reduced to the point where it's as if they threw in the mic as an last minute gimmick. It works in desperate situations where you may need it but I wouldn't use it for any important calls.

Other Thoughts: Noticed on the support page that they say this headset wouldn't work as a gaming headset to both listen to sound and talk to others, I would like to point out it does. Just once again, the quality is so bad you and those listening to you would probably be happier with you not using it.

It does not come with a manual (only a leaflet). Instructions can be found here: [...]

I found this as a lightning deal, and I'm really happy that I got it! It is compatible with iPhone 5.

The frequency range of bluetooth is quite remarkable, as you can go around the house and listen to music without disturbing others :)
The quality of sound through bluetooth is okay, not bad. But with the cord, it sounds better (way better than the Beats by Dr Dre).
I haven't tried calls, so I can't give a review on that.

Also, in the picture, the headset looks more "sleek." The quality has a more "plastic" feel/look (but it didn't bother me), although it looks sturdy. The cushion is soft and the headset is very light! I love it :)

I just wish it is collapsible and has an on/off switch (not just by double clicking).

I have had bad experiences with bluetooth in the past, especially bluetooth speakers and headphones, so I was hesitant to try bluetooth headphones again. But I want to listen to music from my phone while riding the train, and I don't want wires getting in the way. So I bought these and some others to try out, and I've been using these everyday for a two months and they are great. I paired the device one time to one device (Sony cell phone) and it has stayed synced. It turns on and off easily, pauses and plays easily, adjusts volume easily, and if you wear them backwards (switch L and R) they fit comfortably and rest on the shoulders nicely when not in use. The optional plug-in sound is great for when the battery dies (but that's never happened to me) and also when you want to use the headphones for another device (i.e., my tablet). I haven't tried pairing to both devices. The sound quality is also better than I expected from bluetooth headphones. Not awesome, but certainly good enough to enjoy the music and keep out some surrounding noise.

The only thing wrong is that sometimes (twice so far) when I'm doing something like un-pausing the music, it places a call to the last person I called. Clearly this is a feature of the headphones/phone pairing gone awry. But then after the call connects, it doesn't seem to work as a real headset...they can't hear me...and not just because I have it on backwards (I've switched it when answering calls and it still doesn't work). However, at this point I would guess that this is a problem with me not setting it up or using it properly for headset mode. If I broke these headphones right now, I'd buy another pair on my way home.

I did a comparison to my nephew's beats wireless and the beats were far better in volume and bass. These Philips however have pretty good quality themselves. I mainly wear them while working out. More bass when they're plugged in. If beats wireless are a 10, I'd give these Philips an 8. Good headphones. Hard to connect with a device if you have another device around the headphones that they were previously paired to.

This headset has no issue being recognised and connects to my Galaxy Note 3 & Macbook Pro easily.

Sound is ok but the ear pad is a tad small and doesn't cover my entire ear. It tends to get uncomfortable and hot after prolonged wear.

Also, it is not meant for someone who has large head diameter.

I bought these for my son. They fit nicely, look great, and can be used in the car with the built in microphone (this was unknown to me previously). Great buy!

I was lucky enough to get the headphone connect to my cell phone (iphone 5) through bluetooth once, then it became a useless wired headphone.

They work ok but won't pair with many devices and are only semi-comfortable. They are in the medium bracket (for me) as far as between the bad and the very good headphones. They are adequate for some use. I have found another pair through Amazon that was a higher price but there are some things that are better paying a higher price for so I went for it and I am pleased with them. I will hold these for now as an occasional use or backup use if ever needed. They are made well but not for most heads as they might fit too tight.

These are decent. They feel decent and sound decent. Probably not worth the price. I paid 80+ for them but they are ok. The reality is most bluetooths stero headsets under a 100 bucks are going to sound about the same. The difference is how they fit and these fit pretty decent. I have a little head and they are still kind of tight so keep that in mind.
