These gloves are nice a warm with waterproofing on the outside. I like how long they are because they keep my 4 year old son's arms warm in the snow. Here are my 2 complaints: it is quite difficult for my 4 year old to get his hands properly in the finger holes and it's even harder for me to try and guide his fingers there because these gloves are so thick. I don't think that is a flaw in the gloves, but just something to note. My next complaint is that I ordered the size 4-7 and they were HUGE! I don't think my son will fit into these until he is 6 or 7. So, I am saving those and I ordered the next smallest size. I liked them enough to buy a second pair.

My son initially thought these limited his mobility too much, but when he realized they kept his hands warm and dry for over an hour, he was sold. To get them on easily, he gets completely bundled, including his coat, then opens the zippers and pulls on the gloves using the wrist cuffs inside. Then we zip his gloves up over his coat. (The fingers don't give him the dexterity to zip them up himself.) If he had a puffier coat, he would have to put the gloves on first so they would tuck under the sleeves.
So I'm not sure if this will work out for school days, but for snow days, these are great. If he wants to wear them to school, I might try to rig some type of tab to the zippers so he can zip them up himself.

They are hard to get on for a 5 year old but when all the other kids are crying about how cold their hands are because snow got into their gloves my kids are dry as a bone and the extra 30 seconds to get them on is worth it.

If you are looking for sledding gloves or activities that involve less than 1 hour outside, I would recommend. Where I have issues with them is activities like skiing which can mean 3+ hours of exposure to the elements so this review is based on that:

- Good for temps above 30. Why? For anything below that the insulation is insufficient. Your kids will want to go home.
- REALLY hard to put a hand warmer inside with the kids hands. Forget about a liner glove.
- They kinda look cheap.

TIP: for your kids, when they are on the lift just tell them to remove the glove a little bit so that they can form a fist inside the glove, that will keep their fingers from freezing. For reference, I have an 11 year old and a 7 year old that use these gloves (different sizes obviously) and the experience is exactly the same with both.

I don't regret buying them but I wouldn't buy them again, if that makes sense.

Our son can get them on easily...he loves them. Super great for snow and cold weather...the full zip and long part of the gloves are perfect!

I bought these for my son to wear to school but he can't get them on by himself. They are too hard to pull on!

the age group stated is 5 to 7 but my four and a half year old can barely get his hands in - and he says they are not comfortable. Will hang on to them for one more winter and see if it is a user issue

slightly too big for a 4 year old girl, but she should be able to use them for a few years. These ended the "my hands are cold" complaints when sledding.

I bought these for my 3 year old this year. I think his hands are slightly bigger than your average 3 years old so I probably should have ordered a size bigger. That being said, other reviewers have said they tend to run a little bigger. Use your own judgement in that regard. As far as the product they worked great. We started off the season with the usual gloves which were too short, too tight, and contained entirely to much cotton resulting in cold wet hands and short outside excursions. I put these on his hands, zip them up, put on his coat, and we are good for hours in temps below 20. I took him snow skiing with them and there wasn't a single complaint of cold or wet hands. I have no problem recommending these gloves.
