Use it to seal up any kind of coax connection you might be installing. Works very well and it is used by all of the professional installers. Quick tip..Put some good quality electrical tape around your connection first to aid in removing the Coax Seal if you need to take the connection apart in the future.

This will do exactly what you want it to do, water seal a cable connection so it is useful for outdoors use. But if you don't know what this stuff is, you should be aware it is essentially tar on a roll. It can be tough to peel the backing off at first because of this, but once you get it going you can peel the strip back. Use it very sparingly and it will last you a long time for many connections. The only con to it is when you need to rework your connection, or change a cable that you have already sealed with it; you have to pretty much destroy the seal that you created, but if you don't set it on the ground, get it dirty, dusty etc. then you can probably re-use it with a new connection.

For some reason neither the seller or the manufacturer wants you to know how much of this tape you are getting. It is 5 feet long by 1/2 inch wide. Remember that a lot goes only a little ways because you have to overlap each wrap like an ace bandage. It is also a good idea to apply an under layer of electrician's tape before applying what amounts to tar to everything, or you will never be able to remove it for repair or reconfiguration. You will have to cut the ends off and replace them which would be a rough job if one connector is the stationary antenna connector.

This stuff is simply amazing. It stays workably soft in winter temps, never brittle, and while softer in summer heat, never runs or flows. It is completely water tight and appears to have very good thermal stability with regards to expansion and contraction. If put on even remotely clean surfaces, it makes a good seal and sticks well, but if you have to get it off, just use a wad of it to "dab" it off the work as it likes to stick to itself more than anything else. In a pinch, I have completely removed and reapplied CoaxSeal that was applied years before and had gone through several winter / summer outdoor cycles on a wifi node 18' up on a pole and other than some minor dust and plant debris the material was about 90% as pliable as new and just as water tight. There is nothing better for sealing electrical connections. Also great for making marine and boat wiring watertight. Appears to resist salt water well but no long term testing on my part with that. I've also found it very useful in coating lead/acid battery connections in vehicles to prevent corrosion. Caveat: I've never done this, but it occurs to me that others may try to seal leaks across a pressure differential, but this won't work as it remains soft. It is strictly for waterproofing things, not for a physical barrier to resist gas or fluid pressure.

I've used CoaxSeal on probably 500+ outdoor wifi antenna connections at campgrounds and marinas. A common complaint from many others is that it is "hard to remove" but it really isn't: you just have to know the trick. It sticks to itself better than anything else so you simply pinch some off the connection, then use that piece to aggressively "dab" more off by pressing into the seal on the piece then rapidly pulling it off again.

This stuff is amazing, use it for sealing coax connectors, keeping radio control heads stacked on top of each other, and anything else that you want to seal, or not move around. A little brother to Duct Tape, lots of uses.

This is a hard to find item. Used to be common in Radio Shack, but they stopped carrying it. It was expensive, especially with the shipping added in... but it works great.

Coax-Seal met and exceeded my expectations. I used it to seal and protect the coax connectors on my TV antennas and it completely did the job. Had tried other products with less than satisfactory results.

This stuff is pretty awesome and a must have if you're going to have any kind of outside coax connections. I used it on the connection between LMR-400 and a Dual Band JPole that I have on a 21' mast. It has weathered a week of wind and rain and will probably last a long time (or at least until I replace the antenna with something else).
