The alpine castle 3d puzzle was my first attempt to assemble a 1000 piece, complicated, puzzle. The instructions were an absolute necessity. Would not attempt one of this size without full instruction package. It took me 2 weeks of spare time and I enjoyed the challenge and the finished product. It is a fun hobby but the 3d puzzles will spoil your appetite for the flat ones. I highly recommend this hobby but would suggest starting with a smaller one and working up to the challenging ones.
