Great information!,

Great, up to date news and reviews. Andy has a great sense of humor and loves to poke fun on occasion at the idiots who make fools of themselves on reality TV.

Ordered this blog on June 16, 2008. Blog updated on June 18, 2008 and has not updated since...It is now June 29, 2008. I thougth this would be a great way to keep up on reality shows while traveling. Not so. Only get this blog if you want to waste your money...never updates with new information.

I'm a big fan of reality television, so I decided to give Reality Blurred a try. Five stars. Several times a day the Kindle receives updates concerning reality TV shows. My first few updates got me up to speed on the upcoming Big Brother 9 (twists, etc), as well as the newest Survivor.I guess that the Kindle edition is simply a reproduction of the web-based blog (which I have never gone to) since there are 'links' throughout the articles; being a Kindle, you are, of course, unable to click on the links. Nevertheless, well worth the 99 cents per month. I am usually away from my computer and it is nice to turn on the Kindle and spend a minute or two reading about reality tv shows. Warning: the blog does discuss results of shows; since I tend to TIVO everthing and watch at a later date, I have been careful to not read any blog discussing who was ousted on the previous night's show. Edited January 22, 2010: blogs tend to come and go on my Kindle, but Reality Blurred has remained a constant. The blogger, Andy Dehnart, is simply a marvel. Andy is one of just a few (he said three) journalist that go out to Survivor locations prior to the beginning of each season in order to interview the contestants. In the weeks leading up to the season he posts each interview, giving his own impression of the contestant. Andy also gets to see the various challenges set up (and, I think even participates as they 'test out' the challenge for camera angles, etc). If you are a Survivor fan, Reality Blurred will fit your need. Of course, he also covers a wide range of other reality shows, giving updates, news bites (it was Reality Blurred that first informed me of the death of a former Survivor contestant, Jenn)and schedules. Indeed, Andy does a great job of listing upcoming reality shows (some several months in advance). Andy: great job. Great blog. |
