The camera comes with one Li ion rechargeable proprietary battery. Customers have complained about poor battery life so a spare is probably a good idea (there are third party vendors). There is no external battery charger. It must be recharged in the camera via a USB cable charger supplied with the camera.

Yes - I was able to recharge easily in all the English B&B's we stayed at. With a converter, of course, from 220 to 110.

Yes it came with one. It comes with a USB cord and I plug it into my computer to recharge (battery is in camera while recharging)
