SALEM - The bold blue and yellow of Oregon's throwback "Pacific Wonderland" license plates may look most at home beneath the shiny grill of a 1959 Corvette or hanging from a 1961 Ford pickup's rust-speckled bumper.
Those are the kinds of rides that were tooling around Oregon when the Pacific Wonderland plate was first issued. Decades later, classic car enthusiasts will pay $300 for a matching set of such period-correct plates.
