Necessary!
Mine arrived with a 68% charge. Holds the charge while waiting to be used. After conditioning, I get about 3 hours with heavy use. Great for long trips away from a power source.

no good!
i needed a battery for my hp mini 1000. this happens to be the worse purchase that i have ever bought ! i charged it for 14hrs and tried it never worked!! waste of money .
