5.0 out of 5 stars Blue, blue, my world is blue, February 18, 2008
Video Unavailable
Length:: 0:41 Mins

So there I was, browsing through the duty free, when I spotted this iridescent blue box and the gleaming blue sampler bottle beside it. One spray later, I was reaching for my wallet and wondering what hit me.

I'm not one for flowery girly fragrances, and some are enough to make me break out in a sneezing fit, but this one - well, we were an instant match.

Mediterranean by Elizabeth Arden combines citrus with flowers and woods, and the end result is an unforgettable scent which can translate easily from day to night, without being overpowering. The only thing that needs improving is that the smell doesn't linger as long as other fragrances, and you may need to refresh after a few hours if needed.

The blend includes Peach Nectar Sorbet, Sicilian Mandarin, Damask Plum, Radiant Wisteria, Star Magnolia, Madagascar Orchid, Sandalwood, Blonde Woods and Fluid Skin Musk with a touch of Golden Amber.

In the original footage in the video, the bottle and box look much darker than they really are, and this is because I filmed it at night. They really are a most attractive shade of blue, and beautifully presented.

Next time you're browsing the fragrance aisles, make sure you get a whiff of this!!

Rated: 4.5 stars

The folks at Elizabeth Arden should use this as a commercial. It's beautiful and sophisticated. Bravo!

I happen to enjoy your reviews, but have never posted a comment before (that I remember). While you certainly make a good case for this product, I do wonder if the price is maybe a little too high to justify 4.5 stars.

On top of that, I hope you don't feel forced into wearing perfumes because no matter what, being true to ourselves is very important. Truth be told, I am a neo-feminist and I know that is off-putting to many (of my own gender as well as the opposite) but I "wouldn't have it any other way."

Thanks for coming forward with your comment SpookyChick, and I hope you'll continue to drop me a line from time to time if the mood strikes you.

I don't wear a lot of perfume, but I like spritzing on a little before leaving for work in the morning. At the rate I use it, this bottle will last me a long time, so the relatively high price isn't so bad considering the time span before I have to buy more.

Thanks for sharing your point of view - much appreciated

I love video reviews, Amanda, and you're one of the few out there doin' 'em. One of these days, but yours are great. I still like the thumping hedge clippers one. JP
