4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT LEGO BUILDING SET, October 30, 2012

This review is from: LEGO Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider Set 9449 (Toy)
I bought this for my 9 year old grandon's birthday, he loves building Lego sets. This is a good sized, detailed set, which took him an hour and half to build. He doesn't play with it often because it comes apart too easily. With Legos, I think the fun is in the building. These sets are expensive, and as soon as he builds one, he wants another. However, it does provide some educational value, along with the fun. I will continue to buy him Lego sets as long as he is interested, and I have found Lego prices at Amazon are better than most stores and other online merchants.

I agree with what you said. The way my son deals with his legos is that after assembling it a few times, they go into his big bin of legos. He loves to use all the pieces to come up with new and unique things. This also helps him have fun roleplay time whether alone, or with friends over. They do things like make bases and do battles and such. It does help to buy a few of the larger 10 inch or biger base lego flat pieces to build on. It's been countless hours of extra fun, plus it helps his mind develop as he learns to "engineer" things on his own! :)
