Stable Step Platform, But Weight Issue Leaves Something to be Desired
, June 22, 2009
This review is from: Aerobics Step Platform for Wii Fit (Video Game)
Pros: This Aerobics Step Platform for Wii Fit Balance Board is very stable and does not move, shift or flex when used.
Cons: No paperwork whatsoever, no instructions, nothing.
Weight is under-reported when using the step by almost 20 pounds. Apparently the foot holes are a little too deep. The Balance Board on the step registers weight correctly when I put 2 aluminum coins in each foot hole, then put the Balance Board on the step. Thanks Artdiver1 for the suggestion! (See Artdiver1's reviews of the "Everlast 3 Aerobic Step" and "Wii Riser Aerobic Step for the Wii Fit Balance Board" for more details.
Steps don't always register. Solved by adding the coins to make the foot holes a little more shallow. Now they register perfectly.
It works, but I shouldn't have to jury rig it to make it work right.

The Wii Balance Board does not always give accurate weight reporting when used on carpet, whether you use the Aerobic Step Platform with it or not. Nintendo recommends using the foot extensions that come with the Balance Board to alleviate this problem. Customers have reported that using something underneath the feet such as poker chips or coins can help as well.
There are normally instructions packaged with the product and I cannot explain why you didn't receive them. However we can always be contacted with questions or concerns via our CTA Digital Facebook fanpage 'reviews' section, or through our technical support team email address which is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
