This review is from: The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement (Paperback)
The main point of the book has some good lessons mostly revolving around process effeciency. However, the lessons could be written down in detail in a 5 page article.
Instead, he has to include a whole fictional story around these lessons. While he may have good business ideas, M. Goldratt is not a good fictional author. You have to painstakingly get through pages and pages regarding the main characters love life failures in order to get to the meat of the book.
