Useful, but stylus is unreliable with iPad,

The Belkin Kitchen Stand has a definite place on our kitchen counter, and is very useful for positioning the iPad when referring to recipes. The chrome is plastic, but is well made.
I haven't had much luck with the stylus, though. It doesn't consistently register on my iPad's screen, and is big, heavy and not well balanced in the hand. In fact, we have put it away altogether and only use the stand. The capacitative tip does not work unless you press on the screen incredibly hard. I've had better luck with stylus' that cost less than a third of what this set does. It is a shame Belkin didn't test the stylus a bit better before including.

I totally agree with your comment...I love this appliance, but also feel the stylus is not as friendly as others... but overal is a great kitchen stand!!!

I was reading your comment cause I was having the same issue but I found out that you don't have to press on the screen hard for it to work. My fix for this issue was to set the stylus where you want to point for a second and it will register. I figured this out by opening several website tabs and then setting the stylus on the tab and waiting for it to register the page. Also I had to find a particular area on a web page to set the stylus in that area for a second for it to register and then I could swipe the page up, down or left and right. Hopefully this will help with someone who is having issues.

My stylus doesn't work either. My pc also has a touch screen and it doesn't work there either. Fortunately other, softer, stylus do work.
