This review is from: Storm Warning (Kindle Edition)This little romance has lots of emotion and sufficient heat for the romance aficionado.
Tory is a researcher who is dedicated to storm chasing as a means of reconciling her past. She's haunted by her childhood experience of witnessing her parents being sucked into the sky by a tornado. Nothing and no one will stand in the way of her obsession, as she leads her team in search of perfect storms. Gabe is a famous photographer who is funding this season's chase, much to Tory's dismay. As any meteorologist will tell you, when two different pressure fronts meet, rough weather is ahead.
The story is really good, and the author knows how to set a scene and write dialogue. The characters are well-developed and come alive. However, there are some scene transitions that could use a little tweaking and some editing issues. There are at least two times that the camera has "shudder" speed, the heroine "immersed" from her room instead of emerged and when she had been injured is asked if she is "nauseas". After being hit by a guy, Tory feels tears of pain and "humility". Later, she pours lemonade from a "sliver" pitcher. There aren't as many errors here as I've seen in a number of self-pubbed works, but there are enough to break your mood as you read. A good editor could easily address these issues. 3.5 stars.
