I had my laptop for about 1 1/2 years before I got messages saying that I needed to replace my battery. The ones on Dell.com are SO expensive and this just seemed like a deal-breaker. I ordered it but I was first sent a Mac-book battery which I had to send back. When I finally got my actual battery, I worked AWESOME. It lasted two and a half hours, a much improvement from my previously worn out 15 min batery life. But after a few days I got new messages saying that the battery was unreadable.

I don't know if its just my particular battery, but I feel like Amazon let me down big time. Ususally everything they have works so well but this is just terrible.

I have never changed my battery but for about 6 months i have had the plugged in not charging thing going on. Just a few days ago it started saying the battery isn't recognized i believe it's a problem with the computer not the battery.

i also have a new dell laptop, they sent me a battery, it never held a charge for more than 5 minutes. then the computer did not even recognize the battery. i asked for a repacement & customer service never sent me a new battery, nor did they refund my money...they just ignore you! i ask them to please send me another battery that works, they said no problem. i never heard from the company again, and customer service said they have no record i even called them, when i called 8 times!!! do not order from them unless you want a $50.00 paperweight for your desk!
