Bye Bye WDTV,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: G-Box Midnight Android 4 / Linux XBMC Streaming Mini HTPC TV Box Player (Personal Computers)
PROS -This is a great media player if you don't want to waste money on external hards and risk having them fall to the floor and break. Forget about download/storing movies. This is the next big thing...streaming 720p HD and DVD quality movies. Through "IceFilms" you have over 77,000 titles with daily updates to your library at your finger tips(Netflix only has 55,000 by comparison and you have to pay for those lol!). What more can you ask for?
CONS- The remote that comes with this media player is absolute garbage, you need to go find a 2.4ghz wireless remote that has a either an Air mouse(kinda like what the wiimote does) or trackball plus a qwerty keyboard on it. You also need to find and install the appropriate plug-ins to bring out this box's full potential(this is quite difficult because they are not easy to locate so you have to do a lot of searching in various forums, threads and directories. Many of the plug-ins have script errors, but IceFilms works like 90% of the time. Navi-X doesn't work, FreeCable only has tv clips, and rtmpgui+ doesn't work. So I give this product 4 stars.

Thumbs up for your review. IceFilms rocks the house! And totally agree with you on the remote, but the G-Mouse II Ive got is really nice if you've seen it?
I love my Midnights. I've lost count on how many I've bought and setup for family/friends and now it seems like everybody in my neighborhood has to have one and guess the lucky one that has to show them how to use it? haha. Anyways, nice review.

I have not seen or heard of the G-Mouse II yet, but I will check it out after writing this review. Thanks for giving me a recommendation; No one (to my knowledge) reviews remotes for this device so i'm really walking blind in this department. I have so many questions about this device...how far along are you? Have you installed the old school video games yet? Did you get the X-box controller +qwerty chat adapter to work yet?( I hear it does, but thats people who tap onto xbmc through their android phones...untested for Midnight :o/ ). My Email is Seakid69@yahoo.com. please keep in touch
UPDATE---I got Navi-X to work last night...so sick!

Navi-X rocks too. You can also use DroidMote with the Midnight since it's rooted. I still prefer the G-mouse II over pretty much anything else since it's small/convenient and doesn't require batteries (charges from the Midnight or PC, perfect!). Haven't had time to get more advanced because everybody in the neighborhood wants me to buy one and configure it with XBMC for them (basic plugins like IceFilms, YouTube, etc). I have 4 of these to setup today. If you want to make some side dough I recommend setting these up for people haha. They're paying me as much as it costs for the Midnight just to configure it for them lol.

BTW you can edit your main review to let people know there that Navi-X works since most ppl will never even notice these comments.
