3.0 out of 5 stars A Comparison of Wacom 6x8 Bags, July 24, 2008
By Luna
Length:: 7:06 Mins

Although this review is not about this particular bag, I think it is very relevant and useful for other seekers of a bag for their Wacom tablet. This is my first video review so it may be a bit long and all over the place... Since I took some time to research all of these bags, I figured it save others a lot of time and hassle for others who are in the same boat as me. Below are the bags I reviewed in the video:

- Case Logic SPS-13 13.3-inch Neoprene MacBook Shuttle (Silver): I couldn't find the 15.4" bag on Amazon, so this was the closest I could get. If you decide to get this bag, don't forget to get the 15.4 one and not the 13.3 I've linked! Dimensions according to eBags: 14" x 10" x 1"

- Built NY Laptop Portfolio Case - Black: In the video, I said I was probably going to get this, but after looking it over some more, I didn't like how unstructured the handles were. For example, if you were to put heavier items in the bag with your tablet and grab it by the handles, the handles would make the bag more elongated due to its construction. So I've provided a couple more bags I'm looking into below that I actually might get over this bag. Dimensions according to eBags: 14.75" x 14.5" x 0.5"

- Pacific Outdoor Equipment Y-FY I Computer Sleeve: This is not the exact bag I have in the video, but I couldn't find the one I had. The model number in the video is Y-FY 2. This case might be smaller, which might fit better, but since there are no dimensions given, I'm not sure how big this FY 1 bag is. Dimensions according to eBags: 13.75" x 10.75" x 1.5".

Two other bags not in this video which I am considering:
- Casauri 12-inch Small Envelope Notebook Computer Case ( Purple ): The colors available for this bag are ugly, imo, but it has all the features that I wanted - handles, outside zippered compartment, and padding (according to websites), so I am waiting to see if this turns out to be the one! (Update: This bag turned out to not fit the tablet well. It was slightly too small, but very nicely padded compared to the other thin bags. Unfortunately, though, I will have to return this one, as well.)

- eBags unXpected Laptop Porter: Seems to be a bit thicker, but like the Casauri bag, has a lot of the things I wanted in a bag! (Update: This bag turned out to be the winner amongst all of the bags. It has about the thickness of the Built NY bag, but with better handles and 2 outside sections [one side buttoned, the other side zippered]. I like the extra storage space on both sides, the thinness, handles, color, and slight padding. I might get a little bit of foam to slide into the bag for extra protection, but other than that, I would highly recommend this bag if you're looking for what I'm looking for!

This quest to find an uber bag for my Wacom tablet has my boyfriend looking at me oddly, but I hope this review has helped others out there who are a bit obsessive/picky about finding the right bag! As a tip, I found looking for cases for the 15.4 MacBook was perfect for my 6x8 Intuos3 tablet, so if these bags don't interest you, try doing a search for that MacBook and you might find some other bags.

Hi Luna, I just would like to say thank you for taking the time to do this little comparison and then more importantly for posting it up here! I'm going to get the case logic neoprene case because I simply want it to be in a little sleeve that I can then put into my laptop bag which will have all the pockets and padding needed! Thanks very much!

Yeah, thanks. I was considering getting the wacom bag but now I'm totally getting the caselogic (I already use their 17" one for my laptop).

Cintiq eh, I'm envious!
