As an app, I Love Free Things is very poor. It's not really an app so much as a simple web browser linked to the I Love Free Things website and a way for them to increase advertising revenue. Visually, it's boring and could be termed ugly. The only extra functionality you get with the app is the ability to add favorites so you can come back to items later if you're not ready to grab some goodies. You lose the ability to sort the offers by category, and will have to scroll through the entire list or use the search function to narrow down what you're looking for. The initial feed screen is properly sized, but the offer details screens are not scaled whatsoever. On my Epic, they are unreadable until you zoom way in. The gTablet's 10' screen (compared to the Epic's 4") doesn't have this issue, being large enough that the text is small but readable. Quite frankly, I'd suggest using your device's web browser to go directly to the I Love Free Things website instead of using this app - at least it looks better. As for the content itself, it's pretty hit and miss. Out of the top 6 offers, 4 had dead links. Looking at the comments, I wasn't the only one that had this issue. All total, we have a poor excuse for an app that produces equally poor results. Meh.
