Boring...come on, it's about politics, people!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Showdown at Gucci Gulch (Paperback)This book is very boring and it swerves around the theme repeatedly. This book could have been written in less than fifty pages and it could have been more exciting for high school students like me who have no interest in politics whatsoever. It's a shame that guys can spend all of their time writing a book like this when all this information is readily available in any encyclopedia. Once again, we have an author who doesn't understand the true meanings and values in life! He does not care to appeal to the public; instead, this book is a product of his own urge and desperation!

Every time I read a review written by a high school student I weep for the future. Is there something in the water that's making everyone so aggressively stupid and proud to put that ignorance on display?

Steven Mason says:
Tobi, I've noticed that more often than not it's the "bored" high school students who write reviews on Amazon for the assigned books they don't like. They probably are the same ones who give negative reviews to their "boring" teachers on the Rate My Teacher website. Bored students seem to enjoy sharing their misery with others and they expect to be entertained by everyone and everything, as if Life is one big video game.
Don't despair too much; most of the best students don't bother writing reviews for their assigned books, that's all. In a way they are like the silent majority (or if you are cynical, the silent minority). :-)
