Not really definitive,
This review is from: The Definitive Collection (Audio CD)
Be advised that the first half dozen tracks on this CD are re-recordings of Sedaka's 60's hits, and not the original versions.

Thank you for warning me these were re-releases. I was excited to hear about this new release and figured it was going to be newly remastered versions of the ORIGINAL MASTERS-I, too, can't stand re-recordings so thanks for the warning. This isn't for me.

when an artist leaves one label and goes to another they normaly loose the songs they recorded at the first label because that label bought and paid for those songs. So it is not suprising the early songs are re-recorded. (granted they're not as good but it's beter than nothing.) I like sedaka and the music even though it is not the original recording.
