Probably Impossible Without A Controller,

OK, first off you need to have a game controller for this game. It requires split second button clicks at times and there's virtually no way you're going to have the dexterity to use a keyboard unless you have three hands. The game is a rather serious, if amusing, platformer. It's not the hardest game I've played and it's not a jerk about it, but it is quite difficult and often unforgiving; however, it usually gives you enough check points to not be too mean. I think it only accepts x-input games so you need a 360 or compatible controller.
Short version, you're killed, come back, and have to fight a guy in a funny hat who somehow turned Satan into a chicken and is now trying to merge the world of the dead with the living for...reasons. Just go with it, it works better than it sounds. You start off with few moves and have to go break these statues which a guy who has turned into a goat will invariably berate you for. After you destroy them, you get the new power. The system works pretty well and has a nice curve to show you how using each power can be used to solve various puzzles.
I had a lot of fun playing the game, even if it was a little short. If you're stuck on it, just keep trying, I'm living proof that it can be finished, at least on normal, so just keep at it. One thing to consider when you face a seemingly impossible boss fight, of which there are only maybe four, the bosses all use a very standard pattern so you just play until you figure it out. The end boss for example, very tricky until you figure out when to roll away, when to jump away, and make use of the significant lead time his moves give you to make the decision. Even his final form isn't all that hard once you get the hang of it, though it'll probably take you quite a few tries to figure him out.
Overall, yeah it was a pretty good game and I had fun playing it. Will I ever go back and play it again now that I've finished it once, probably not.
