Another solid addition to Your Joel Osteen Collection,
This review is from: I Declare: 31 Promises to Speak Over Your Life (Hardcover)
I LOVE everything Joel Osteen. I think his love, compassion, and inspiration make him a tremendous minister and a wonderful person. His books offer so much insight into God and have helped so many nurture their own private and personal relationship with God. Although his newest book is another excellent addition to the collection, it is not as as good as his previous ones, especially Every Day A Friday. The book itself is pretty short. I am not a very fast reader but i finished it in one sitting pretty quickly. Granted, its supposed to be read once a day for a month for the full effect but even so it still feels a little short. Also, a lot of the stories in his book are compiled from his other books which makes his newest book feel slightly rehashed. To sum it up: If you like Joel Osteen then you probably cant go wrong with buying this book, but if you have read all of his other books and are not sure if to buy it, then you could probably skip it and not miss too much.

Joel might be all the things you say, but he does not fully support Christianity. I heard him on national television ignore the question whether Jesus is the way to salvation. Of course this is what the Bible states. He inherited the ministry from his Dad, who I used to watch, but I cannot watch him for long, knowing his views are "changing with the times".

Fountain B. Hendricks says:
I bought this book also. I love it myself. It seems like you are a person who loves to read. I would like to invite you in purchasing a new book that just came out called "Becoming Holy". It is available on Amazon also. It is a teaching tool on how to achieve your greatness in God by emulating the character and persona of who Jesus is. He is Holy. Check it out, I think you would like it.

The Librarian says:
Perhaps the modern day Pharisees such as Mr. Thompson is who Jesus woud condemn. I would certainly not, as Mr. Thompson did, be the judge of who is "saved" and who is not. But I will say this, if people like Mr. Thompson is an indicator of Heaven, I think we would have to call it someting different. Not sure I want to be in the same place where people with the attitude of Mr. Thompson reside. I do hope he makes it to where he thinks he is going. But if he does it will have to include a total attitude change. I will put him in my prayers. I hope the best for him.
