This video needs editing because it's much too long. On second thought, better to reshoot it. Keep the running time under two minutes.

Yeah, this lens is really my only off-brand lens for my Nikon. I ended up buying the Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 which almost replaces this lens except for when it comes down to macro photography. I love being able to have a wide zoom and macro all in ones lens and Sigma did a good job with this one.

A tad long, somewhat disorganized, but all-in-all a useful review. More helpful than any text/picture review I have read so far. I think I will get this lens now. Thanks!

Great review Dustin. I appreciate the thoroughness. I don't understand however, why you felt a need to purchase the Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 lens which just seems redundant. Is it superior in your opinion?

Since you seem to have both lenses, can you tell us how do those two lenses compare? The Nikkor 17-55 mm 2.8 is almost three times the price of this Sigma. Do you see a noticeable improvement in quality with the Nikkor?
