Huge Fan Annoyed with Repetitive Elements,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fear Nothing: A Detective D.D. Warren Novel (Hardcover)
I am a die-hard Lisa Gardner Fan and have read every one of her mystery novels. It pains me to say that I just didn't enjoy her latest very much. D.D. Warren is one of my favorite Gardner characters, and she didn't disappoint--always hard-as-nails, going beyond the call of duty, this time with a debilitating injury that restricts every action and decision. However, the numerous repetitive passages killed the read for me. This one could have used a good editor to trim elements that became quite annoying as the book progressed.

I was a little disappointed with this book it was one of the few where I had guessed the ending because it was so obvious and I didn't rush thru it because it wasn't that kind of on the edge of your seat mystery which iis usually the case. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I received the book because it claimed to be in NEW. When I got it the jacket was sliced from top to bottom almost like someone had opened the box with a knife and then all they did was put plastic wrap around the book so it wouldn't be damaged more.

I was so disappointed and forgot to mention the ridiculous repetition. Well said.
