1.0 out of 5 stars The real hoax is this book ..., October 22, 2013
This review is from: The Benghazi Hoax (Kindle Edition)
Authored by noted hack David Brock, the Benghazi Hoax is not even a real book. That aside, the material presented therein is nothing different than the typical left-wing kook drivel one finds on the publisher's noted hack website.

Brock is a propagandist who is trying to perpetrate a fraud by perpetuating the idea that the Benghazi incident was used by a weak presidential candidate to attack a popular president in order to defeat him in the election. The truth here is that the Benghazi incident was a demonstration of the ineptitude, incompetence, and dishonor of our commander-in-chief. Brock defends the Obama administration, and Mr. Obama himself, by minimizing and dismissing the Benghazi attack by noting that other diplomatic facilities have been attacked, resulting in the deaths of 9 Americans. Brock ignores the fact that the body of our ambassador was dragged through the streets after he was raped, his genitals cut off, and murdered. Bock tells us that "[p]eople have missed the fact that Benghazi was not only a tragedy, but it was a night of valor." Thanks to Tyrone Woods, who disobeyed orders from the highest level to do what he could without close air support, this is true. But it is a shame that Brock, our president, and his minions in his cabinet use this attack, which, the tell us, was a response to some silly internet video no one has seen, to promote their agenda of deceit and failure.

Polymath's "review" of this fact-based accounting of what really happened in regard to the Benghazi attacks further illustrates the willingness of right-wing partisans to completely disregard the truth as they exploit the loss of of these brave Americans to launch political attacks on the President. Fact: Ambassador Stevens died from smoke inhalation from the fire started within 15 minutes of the initial assault. At the direction of U.S. forces, his body was recovered from the "safe area" within the compound and taken to the hospital by a group of Western-aligned Libyans. Fact: There was no stand down. Three rapid response teams -- the first launching in armored vehicles within 25 minutes -- comprised of CIA Global Response Staff (GRS) paramilitary soldiers and Pentagon Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) commandos responded from Benghazi and Tripoli. They were further reinforced with dozens of fighters from the February 17 Brigade, Libyan Shield, and Libyan military intelligence forces arriving in more than 50 vehicles. Fact: These forces combined to kill nearly 100 of the attacking militants in battle; they secured the bodies of our four dead; and they rescued and safely evacuated nearly 40 Americans who were on a plane out of Libya within hours. Fact: The President called it "an act of terror" from day one and Rice declared that the investigation was examining the extremist militants ties to al Qaeda. Fact: The link between the attacks and the anti-Islam propaganda video came not from the White House but from intelligence, statements from Libyan officials, eyewitness reports, and media reports including interviews with the armed attackers and unarmed protesters at the scene. To date, nobody has contradicted the numerous eyewitness reports that had the attackers claiming they were acting in response to the video. Nevertheless, the President, Secretary Clinton and other Administration officials made clear that it made no difference what their motives were -- there was no excuse for the violence against our people. None.

Mr. Ward, don't waste your time. The gentleman above adores Mark Levin and thinks "Atlas Shrugged" is a literary masterpiece. According to other posts he has also fallen for EVERY conspiracy theory ever published about our President. You an't argue with ignorance. I enjoyed your post however!

Jeff says:
If this was a demonstration of incompetence, what were the 13 embassy attacks and 60 deaths during the Bush administration?

Actually, Polymath, ebooks are real. I've read many. Perhaps at some point in the future, wherever it is you live in the Southern United States, the magic of WIFI will arrive, and make them available to you, and your cave dwelling community. Until then, turn off your TV that only gets FOX, climb out of your bunker, and realize that the reality based world is equally is facinating as the scary alternate, Fringe like world you inhabit, where the President is secretly a Socialist/Fascist Muslim, poor people need to be starved to death, health care is really bad thing, and its really a safer world when everyone has an automatic weapon.

Another rube who hasn't read the book, but feels qualified to write a review.

Kind of like your review isn't a real review.

So much for this clown's credibility.

I'd suggest you read an earlier book by David Brock "Blinded by the Right" to get an understanding of your limited vision
