Poor Design. DONT BUY,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rainbowimaging Quick Release Dual-shoulder Camera Neck Strap for Canon Nikon Olympus Pentax Panasonic Sony Dslr + Lens - Black (Electronics)
Taking the unit from the packaging it look quite good for the price, but it has flaws. The 1/4" screw holder plate for the camera is poorly made -
(1) the edges are sharp and could possibly scratch your equipment not to mention cut you.
(2) The rubber on the plate that comes into contact with the camera unglues and falls off or shifts after the first use.
(3) The thumb screw that attaches to the plate is kept in place with a C clip that comes off easily (and will be lost), so the thumb screw will fall off and not stay with the plate. (4) One of the two thumbscrews had bad thread on it and almost ruined the thread on my 5DMk3. (luckily i bought the single harness as well so i swapped it out).
Note all these things happened to the one that was shipped to me. The design flaw - i placed my 7D and 5DMk3 on both sides. When you pick up one camera to shoot - the other one falls off to the side and makes the harness pull on your neck, its not bad if they are both hanging. I am a medium frame and I attached it as shown in the pic. The cameras are not supported good enough. I wont use this. I will probably something from lowerpro.
