2.0 out of 5 stars Cute but SMELLY, October 13, 2012

This review is from: Travelon Puzzles and Swirls Set Of 2 Luggage Tags (Apparel)
I got these luggage tags for my son's instrument cases (clarinet & violin). I thought the bright colors would make it easy for him to recognize the cases without always needing to check the name, etc. They look great, but have a very strong smell right out of the package. I have them airing out outside all day, which has had little effect so far. If the smell doesn't improve in the next day or two, I'll be forced to send them back. Whatever they're off-gassing can't possible be good for my kid to be breathing in, plus the smell itself is horrid.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to purchase, but we're so sensitive to chemical odors this just wouldn't work for any of my family.

I wish I could tell you the smell goes away quickly, but we've had the tags a month now and the smell is still quite obvious. We decided to keep them, and the smell is better than it was, but definitely not gone.

When I get an item with that issue, I wash it and/or leave it out in the sun for a few days.
