Excellent basic watch.,
This review is from: Timex Men's T40051 Expedition Metal Field Olive Dial Brown Leather Strap Watch (Watch)Looks as sharp and functions as well as another "Field Watch" that I paid over $100 for. My other watch didn't have the Indiglo feature and required a special jeweler's tool a to change the battery. I can change the battery on this one myself. A good watch at a good price.
Update July 2, 2009 to my April '08 review. Has taken a lickin' and still keeps tickin' John Cameron Swayze has been proven right. I highly recommend this watch.
April 2013 - Still ticking!

I'm also interested in purchasing this Timex Field Expedition Classic watch (#40051). However, Amazon.com is pretty skimp on specifications. Is the metal casing stainless steel or as the description says, silver-toned metal? And lastly, is the watch average sized for men? Thanks for your help!

According to the Timex website specs (http://www.timex.com/watches/expedition-
The casing is brass; brushed, silver-toned finish.
The case width is 37 mm, the case height is 9 mm and the case lug width is 18 mm.
All told, this seems to be an average sized man's watch.
