Dance music from the time of Praetorius - TANZMUSIK DER PRAETORIUS-ZEIT,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Renaissance Dance Music (Audio CD)
Archiv 198 166 (in the grey fold over cover - MGM distributed) ; Archive 73153 (yellow jacket with index card - American Decca distributed);later pressings in laminated fold-open jackets with color illustration on cover and retaining 198 166 number).
One of the best recordings of Renaissance dances ever published - don't hesitate to purchase this disc. The original vinyl contents have been filled out with some other, later Archiv dance recordings to increase the playing time. The original 1959/60 Collegium Terpsichore recordings are all here. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Thank you so much for the information in your Amazon review. I had hoped to find these works on CD to replace the vinyl I once owned. Now I can order it confident that they are the same wonderful performances. Best regards.

Thanks for your recommendation, though I had to dig deep into Gramophone's web site to find the information I really needed--that these are indeed played on the instruments of their time. I have purchased. But not here. There was a cheaper (new) copy on TradeMe.
