Made a good cup, but has some flaws,
This review is from: Breville 800ESXL 15-Bar Triple-Priming Die-Cast Espresso Machine (Kitchen)
I picked up the Breville 800ESXL from a brick-and-mortar store as I had heard some mixed reviews on the machine and wanted the option to return it easily if there was a problem, which I did after a week and a half.
First off, it did make a pretty decent espresso, and I had no problems with the filters clogging at all. The frothing wand worked very well, pretty easy to make a latte or cappuccino with just basic knowledge on how to froth using the holes.
Now the bad - My main reason for returning it is that the water tray pulls out by itself while the machine is operating; the vibration of the machine causes the tray to slide out and hit against your cup or glasses under the spout. Then, if you're not watching it, it will purge the excess water not in the tray, but all over your counter.
Other than that, the machine is a fingerprint magnet, much more than I expected. Even though Breville explains the "wet puck" as being part of the machine's normal operation, I still would prefer the normal solid version that is easier to clean up. Finally, the machine is quite a bit louder than something such as a Jura Capresso - I thought my neighbors might complain if I ran it too long.
