Connection problems, Windows 8 takes time to get used to,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Acer Aspire One AO756-2626 11.6-Inch Laptop (1.1 GHz Intel Celeron Processor 847, 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, Windows 8) Ash Black (Personal Computers)
I bought this laptop because I was looking for something smaller to take with me. This fits in my purse and I plan to use my iPad as a wifi hotspot. I'm not sure it it's the laptop or not, but I have trouble connecting to the wifi at home and at Starbucks. I cannot do it through Chrome first, so I have to start IE, then try once or twice to "fix connection problems" and eventually get on the Internet. I'm hoping it's a Windows 8 bug, not a hardware problem with this laptop. Windows 8 takes some time to get used to and can be frustrating to use. The laptop seems to last 3-4 hours in battery life. I'll have to get a car charger for this soon since I have been running out of juice lately. Overall, I love the size and it runs very fast for everything I'm using it for, which is mostly Google Apps, spreadsheets, email, calendar, and general Internet use. I don't plan to install any major software, but I wanted something a little faster and more powerful than a netbook so I chose this.

I have the same problem. So I think it's the hardware.
I also have problem down loading apps from the store. I've reset my Microsoft account password many time, however it always come back incorrect password when trying down loading apps. Anyone have this problem?
I'll give the netbook 3 stars, Window 8 two stars.

I finally got a wireless 802.11b/g/n nano USB adapter. Now I have no problem connecting, only I've to use up one of the USB ports.

I had the same problem, called Acer, it is a setting on the computer - needs to be set to Maximum Performance and you will not have this problem any more
