Howdy, here is the deal, if you are new to the "limit your carbs" idea, this might be a good book to start with. Tells you how to decide which carbs are triggering sensitivity, by following a strict regime of eating. Now lets face it, you have to stop eating categories of food and start replacing them slowly to see if your sensitive to them. If you are a person who favors the "NO/Low Carb diet" there is no new information here. If you have follow this type of diet and NOT succeeding you are not getting any new info and or ideas.
I will give it two and half stars if I could. It not the worse book and a good place to start for beginners.

If you are a new to low carb dieting, your criticism is fair. However, Dr. Turner spends a good deal of time at the beginning of the book explaining exactly how carbs affect your metabolism, hormones, sleep, etc. This is more than a weight loss program but that seems to be all you are reading it for. If that's the case, why keep reading books on low carb dieting. You obviously know it all.
