Great step up from the EX-FC100,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Casio Exilim EX-ZR100 12.1 MP CMOS Sensor with 12.5x Optical Zoom Digital Camera Black (Electronics)
I have used the FC100 for a couple of years now and have been happy with it. I am by no means a pro but I have over 75000 family photos from many years. I take pictures of just about everything with the belief that time will make them invaluable. My theory is to take pictures of people not things. Things seldom change - people do. Anyway, back to the camera. It is great. Many times faster than earlier models. Pictures are great. The panorama mode is cool. The biggest difference for me was the 24MM wide angle lens. It alone is worth it for me. Captures things that I wasn't able to capture before. It retained its pocket size but is just a little bigger. No big deal for me. I had to order a slightly larger case for it. The batteries from my earlier model don't fit it either but they are $4 a piece on ebay. I am still playing with it but think its a real winner for the casual user.

Good review and comparision. After hours of frustrating and hopefully, thorough, research I bought the camera. Can't wait to try it out. By the way, to others looking at this camera, I found it helpful to go the Casio site and download/review the owners manual to acquaint myself with the various capabilities and any limitations in order to set my expectations appropriately.
