This review is from: T is for Turkey: A True Thanksgiving Story (Paperback)
This book would have been great except the people who wrote it were so anti-faith that they ruined it with over-explanations and obvious bias against any religeous connotations associated with Thanksgiving. Whether or not the first Thanksgiving was for the sole purpose of thanking God was not why I chose this book. I chose it because it was going to have words and rhymes for every letter of the alphabet AND be about Thanksgiving, and I thought my 2 year-old little girl would like it as one of the stories we'd read as a lead up to the big day. I'm pretty darn sure that during that first Thanksgiving the pilgrims thanked God anyway (it was kind of a thing they did often), even if the actual dinner was for thanksgiving in general and not (according to what the high and mighty author said) for thanking God expressly, so come on (author), get off your annoying soap box.
