I think that this review gave a very explicit and detailed report on the power monitor.

You must have a very small electric bill if you don't think you can save $100 a year with this. Some of us live in states where we can spend $300+ a month on electricity, mostly on AC. $100 a year is like 5% of my bill.
Anyway, I wanted to point out the compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) use roughly 75% less electricity, not 30%, and that doesn't count the electricity you would need to remove the excess heat generated by incandescent lights. If you have an older window AC unit, you can actually save more than 100W for every 100W incandescent bulb you replace with a 100W-equivalent 25W CFL: 75W for the light, and another 25-30W in less work for your AC.

Two good points
1- Yes, my electric bill is pretty low. It is rare for us to be over $100 per month. Our electric rate is about .09 per KW/hr 2- 30% nice catch - but I was talking about a 30% overall saving on my electric bill.

My word! Where do you live? Here in Maryland we just went through an 85% increase in our energy costs. BGE (Baltimore Gas and Electric) charges almost 13.0 per kW/hr! I know some friends who have $400 plus electric bills. Count yourself lucky!
