Suprise - It's WONDERFUL!,
This review is from: The Sheikh's Destiny (Mass Market Paperback)
I started reading this book by accident just to kill time, but it was really good. No spineless heroine, no jerk hero, no misunderstanding between the two. Clean cut plot, interesting too.
Hana is a nurse in some godforsaken place and Alim is the Sheikh. He is traumatized after his brother's death and refuses to claim his place as the sheikh. She was misunderstood by her parents and was married off to some jerk and she has been on the run since then.
Both of them are thrown together in unusual circumstances, they escape together from the camp - where the leader is expressing interest in Hana. Their journey and personal growth with the help of each other enables them to confront the past that they've been running from.
The story is really wonderful, I enjoyed it. The characters are well formed and matured. Hana is strong, brave and determined. Alim is courageous, caring and just wonderful. Even when they snap at each other they clear the air right away. They turned out to be a perfect match that fall in love.
Loved it! Melissa James captured the culture properly without demeaning it in anyway.
