Compatibility Issue with iPhone 5,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lenmar Meridian 2300 mAh Battery Case for iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S Apple Certified MFI Approved Slim Extended Battery Charger iOS 7 iOS 8 AT&T T-Mobile Verizon Sprint Compatible, 100% Additional Battery Life, Black (Electronics)
I was quite happy with it, for the first two weeks. Although it roughly doubles the weight of the phone, and increases the bulk, I could get a full day of use, without having to recharge.
However, my iPhone began displaying the "charging not supported with this device" message, and, since then, it's refused to accept the charge from the battery case. No idea why it took it so long to reject the case, but, as of now, the case is of no use to me.
I expect to find this is Apple's battery protection mechanism causing the problem, but would not have spent $100 had I known.

Further update -I made a return request, a week ago, with no response from the seller. Now, of course, the item has been de-listed, so I am left to fend for myself.
I will be more careful, in future. No more storefronts; if it isn't sold and stocked by Amazon, themselves, I'm going elsewhere.

And Lenmar's website is offering a 25% discount if your order this from them, why order from Amazon?
