1.0 out of 5 stars Sony Blu-Ray players, October 28, 2010
By
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 150mbps USB Wireless Adapter LAN Wifi 802.11b/g/n (Electronics)
I tried this instead of Sony's $90 version but unfortunately when I plug it into the rear USB port of my new Sony Blu-ray player it is not recognized. Don't try this for Sony Blu-Ray Players stick with the name brand!!!

Seriously. Why would you imagine that this would work on your Sony BR player?!?

@Mr Tammany Hall. I thought it might work because the Sony's outside box doesn't specify that the LAN Wifi device must be Sony-branded. This review just saved me the cost of this device and also the trouble of returning the Sony Blu Ray player I was considering.

And why would you give it a 1 star review when it did not specifically say it would work. Sony is the king of proprietary accessories.

Did you find a adapter that worked? Sony $90.00 is a ripoff.
Thanks
