Stunning and at a good price,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Garmin nüvi 3750 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (Electronics)
For me the 3750 was the perfect balance between features and price. I really wasn't interested in the extra bells and whistles of the higher priced 3700 units so I was thrilled when I found this one. I'm upgrading from a Nuvi 250 and the difference is a quantum leap. This is just a stunning device. It's got a huge, beautiful display. The 3D display zooms in and out smoothly. It makes my old 250 look beyond primitive. I was also shocked at how light and thin it is. The biggest improvement is that the charging is done from the base, which means no more unplugging/plugging the cable when you want to take the unit with you. You simply pop it out of the base and you're done. There are tons of interface improvements. My favorite is that you can easily find out your latitude and longitude, nearest address, nearest intersection, as well as the nearest location of emergency services. I've always found the interface on Garmin units to be vastly superior to other competitors. I am thrilled with my purchase.

Something else I forgot to mention is that not only does the unit show the direction of your next turn, it also shows you how many turn lanes there are. For example, you know for your upcoming left turn that either of the two lanes on the left would work. The unit also shows you the current speed limit of the road you are on and whether or not you are exceeding it.

Mrs. Johanna Smithson says:
Does it have a verbal warning when you exceed the speed limit, and is that adjustable to xx miles above the speed limit ? Does it have verbal warnings or sound warnings when approaching POIs which you have designated ? Thanks

It will alert you (default is a single audible tone) when you are approaching a proximity point, which includes custom POIs. I don't see a setting to have it do so for exceeding the speed limit.

Does it show yo a list of all turns if you touch green bar at the top! Thanks for the review.
Have Nuvi 360 currently.

Yes, it does. As with my older model touching the bar at the top shows a list of upcoming turns. What's nice is the green bar always shows whether the next turn is left or right. It also shows how many turn lanes there will be.

Thank you so much Stimpson. I was wondering do I have to buy plugs or the unit is included? Thanks....:)

You're welcome. It includes a cigarette adapter plug and also a usb cable so that you can plug the unit into your computer. The only thing you might want to buy is a base unit so that the GPS can sit on your dashboard instead of having to be attached to the window with a suction cup.

Thank you, thank you....:) I read the review and it said the device gets really hot. Also, it has bad reception and a lot of other defects. Do yours have those problems? The bad reviews more than good ones.
Happy holidays to you and your family....:)

I sometimes have noticed it's hot, but it sits on the dash in the sun and it's black, so that doesn't surprise me. I've had zero problems with it so far. I think some of the complaints are ridiculous. It doesn't work after you drop it on concrete? Wow, go figure.

Thanks....:) Have you ever used 1300 series? I just need something really basic and reliable.
