This review is from: The Splinter (Kindle Edition)
I do so enjoy the work of this author. Delores is young, naive and fanatical in her devotion to "God" She portrays her devotion through pain. The Brother who is asked to help her, knows all that she is feeling and therein lies his own demon, he knows how mesmerising her "devotion" becomes. This author's work always leaves you thinking about the book when you have finished. I find that her writing is never mundane or formulamatic. The Splinter was a little different than this author's usual work but just as thought provoking. The writing was as intense and free flowing as ever but there was a sense of inevitability in the story. Another reviewer has described it as a psychological study rather than erotic and that is a good way to describe this book. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone, so I will just say that it couldn't have been written any other way. It is a short book- but it certainly packs a wallop.
