5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for new Kindle!, September 30, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Amazon Kindle Zip Sleeve, Graphite (fits Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle, and Kindle Touch) (Accessory)
Excellent case, fits the Kindle very nicely. Snug, but not too snug to make it tough to fit the Kindle into. Case itself is VERY light and thin, picking it up with the Kindle in it, you almost feel like there can't be anything in there, since the Kindle is so light too.

Feels like there might be a touch of extra space on the side in order to accommodate the Kindle Touch, which is slightly larger than the new Kindle. Nevertheless it feels like the case was designed just for the new Kindle without touch, it fits very well.

The inside material is soft and a bit spongy, and feels like it will offer good protection for the Kindle. I feel comfortable tossing this in a bag or backpack without worrying about damaging the Kindle.

Zipper goes around 2 sides only, and works very smoothly. Great case!

I have not tried it with the Kindle Touch, I've tried it with the new Kindle (non-touch). The case seems to be just a tiny bit bigger than it needs to be for the Kindle, in order to accommodate the larger dimensions of the Kindle Touch. You wouldn't notice it, though, unless you were thinking about it.

By "new kindle", are you referring to the (what they call now) kindle keypad? The 3rd generation kindle? I hope so because this looks like the perfect sleeve!

Rover says:
No, not the Kindle keypad...the new 4th generation Kindle. (This one: Kindle, Wi-Fi, 6" E Ink Display - includes Special Offers & Sponsored Screensavers)

Okay. Thanks! Ummm... could you do me a huge favor and measure the case for me? Are the inside dimensions 7.5" or does that measure from the outer edges? The 3rd gen. kindle measures 7.5" so it is really close, but unfortunately I doubt it will fit and zip closed.

If I put on the Kindle touch together with Amazon's Kindle Touch Lighted Leaver Cover, would it fit just right and not too tight using this Amazon's Kindle sleeve? Thanks.

C. Stoneham says:
@J.B. Reeves, I can tell you with a high degree of confidence that the Kindle 3 will not fit in this. The difference in size between the Kindle 3 & 4 is significant. Since the reviewer mentioned that the Kindle 4 fit snug, the Kindle 3 would be larger than the case. Buy a case specifically made for the Kindle 3 (Kindle keyboard). They are plentiful and, quite often, cheaper.

@J. Mendoza: Yours has a similar answer to J.B.'s. The Kindle 4 with Amazon's lighted cover will not fit in this case. Remember, these cases are designed to fit the *kindle* not the "kindle with cover that triples the thickness."
