Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: AppleCare for iPhone (OLD VERSION) (Personal Computers)This is ridiculous. What new version its not applecare + that costs $99 basically you are paying more here then Apple itself that charges $69 for this. Why would someone buy this for $72 when apple always charges $69. Newest version means applecare+ which it isn't! you only have 30 day window to purchase Apple Care which needs to e done at store ONLY!!!

AppleCare for iPhone from the Apple website is $99.00, not $69. I bought AppleCare and my iPod through Amazon and I've had no problems. So you don't have to go to an Apple store to buy AppleCare. Not everyone has an Apple store near them anyways.

My dear Betsy. You don't know what yr talking about. Drop yr phone it the water and see if you get a replacement. Apple care plus gives you 2 replacements if yr phone is cracked, water damage and etc.

Applecare+ for the iPhone covers accidental damage replacement (up to 2x at an additional $49 per incident). This new level of Applecare service requires that users buy it at the time of purchasing their new iPhone or within 30 days by visiting an Apple store. It costs $99 and is not available otherwise. More here:
Basic Applecare for the iPhone being sold by Apple (for $79 as of today) and here by Amazon gives users a year from the time of purchase to buy and activate it but does not include accidental damage. More here:
Agreed, at the current Amazon price ($73.02) for basic Applecare, I'd spend a couple of dollars more and buy it directly from Apple.
Hope that helps those that follow.
