Like an old arcade game,
This review is from: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Video Game)
This game definitely has some issues: mobile quality graphics, repetitive environments, minor camera issues, and so on. Nobody even bothered to normalize the sound - many clips are seriously overmodulated while others can barely be heard. The game is fun enough in a Simpson's Arcade sort of way. It's mostly button mashing and grinding to collect credits to level up with, but it's OK. Great for kids, except for boss fights with initially unclear puzzles. It's only a couple of hours of (fairly repetitive) gameplay, but it is perfect for the Nickelodeon target demographic, and even those of us who are older to have a nostalgic appreciation for the (admittedly pretty crappy) arcade/NES/Genesis games of yesteryear.
Aside from the inexcusable sound issues (which could easily be patched, if Nick/Activision cared), the game is nowhere near as terrible as it is made out to be. It's simple local multiplayer fun on the 360, which is sadly rare, and it's a good time killer when played with kids.
