2.0 out of 5 stars Too narrow, February 18, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: J World New York Lollipop Kids' Rolling Backpack with Lunch Bag (Apparel)
We purchased this bag for our daughter who is in the 4th grade. She has a lot of homework and books that she carries daily so she really needed something with wheels. The backpack is beautiful and the wheels were cute as was the lunchbox, but this was just too narrow for her. She could not even fit one 3 ring binder in there. Her books fit okay but that was only about two textbooks, not including her notebooks/binders she needed to get in there as well. This would be great for a much younger child that does not need space.

Same complaint here. The backpack narrows at the top so if you stick a large three-ring binder in there, you can't zipper it :-( Too bad, super cute backpack.

I have found that the minimum height dimension for a reasonably sized rolling backpack for kids is 19" if you want to be able to fit their hardcover books and binders. This one is only 16".

if you go on the manufacturer backpack you will see that this backpack is advertised for the younger crowd - definitely for kids in the early elementary grades
